Heon Yook learned to write computer programs on paper in the punch-card era. At seventy, after retiring from computer consulting, he sat down at his desk in Norwood, New Jersey, and told an AI assistant that he wanted to write a book. The questions it asked helped him begin. He went on to write and self-publish four books in Korean and English, drawing on his computing career, classical music, the Korean language, and food memories from Seoul to New York.

In his fifth book, Yook shows how those books came together. He takes readers from gathering old notes and choosing a subject through drafting, checking facts, translating, preparing covers, formatting, and publishing.
