Didn't work, not worth returning May 13, 2010
I bought this item to power my USB 3.0 express card, and eventually to power my USB 3.0 external drive. It did basically nothing, the drive never managed to get the required power.

I understand this might be a special case, however, for me it is just useless item not worth returning it.

I bought a laptop cooling device, but the cord broke and no replacement was availible from the manufacturer so I searched until I found this cord and it works great and is much stronger than the original cord.

I need this type of cable to power my portable eSATA drive. I didn't want to use USB to power it. Very handy. Good buy.
