I have a home network that incorporates old and new equipment - a 486, a Pentium 3 and a dual core Pentium 4 - in a cluster attached to a Linksys wireless router, that enables communication to the laptops and Ipods for the rest of the family. The USB to PS2 adapter makes it possible for both old and new hardware to connect.

This product works great with a keyboard that is PS2 and USB capable. It does not make a USB keyboard a PS2 keyboard. Same thing with mice although I think more mice have that dual function. It kind of goes back to when mice were serial and then PS2 became popular. Anyway, great product if you know what your working with!

Using this to adapt a Dell USB keyboard for PS2 port and, no, it does not work. The KB is not recognized at all by the CPU.

This product only works for selected computers and the product description did not make this clear. This is totally worthless unless you have a "fancy" keyboard that is tagged as compatible with BOTH PS2 and USB.
