Round to Flat Pin Adapter Jul 19, 2010 This plug adapter met all my requirements. This is a good quality product and at an excellent price. Radio Schack wanted over $ 11 for the simple adapter plug.
Cheaper than the other option Jun 20, 2010 It is definitely cheaper than the other option - $10 at Radio Shack. Does the job well.
Cons - Quality is not very good. The female end has metal clips inside which may Since I am using it with one charger only, I think it should last. Also, the plug pins are not polarized. Make sure that is OK for your use.
plug adapter May 17, 2010 This plug adapter was exactly what we ordered. It arrived promptly and we are happy with it.
Does the job May 11, 2010 It's hard to get excited about plug adapters, however, these worked just fine. They solved my problem just as I had envisioned before buying them.
If you need them, these do the trick!
I suppose there could be no greater praise given by anyone for plug adapters.
It's quite simple .... Apr 16, 2010 It does just what it says it will do ... you plug your European AC round prongs into the adapter and voila! ... standard American flat prongs! I should probably add that the end result is NOT polarized.
The adapter is not very big, so it is easy to use with a wall jack or an extension cord because nothing sticks out very far.
On the other hand, it's quality is no better than it has to be, and the two American prongs are simple plated metal. I would not expect it to last forever if you keep attaching it and pulling it off, or you keep plugging it in and out of the wall. In other words, I cannot speak to it's travel-worthiness. Perhaps you should buy two, just in case. But if you just need a one-time adapter, it will do just fine.
A word about prices. I do not understand why a European-to-American adapter costs twice as much as an American-to-European adapter, as it is essentially the same thing going in the other direction. But there you are.
By the way, Radio Shack sells the same kind of adapter for $11 at the store and $11 plus postage on-line. Go figure!
