I bought several of these cables to hook up peripherals to my PC. It was much cheaper to buy the cables from Amazon than to buy the cables from local retailers. Don't waste your money on those Monstrously over priced cables at the brick and mortar stores. Haven't had a problem with any of the cables since purchasing a few months ago.

This is a solid cable. It will hold up very well for a desktop computer. If you are using a laptop, it is an average USB cable. It does not have protectors for heavy twisting and turning, but you can replace this multiple times or have a couple spares for this price. Do you move your laptop while the USB cable is plugged in? I don't and I am not worried. This was not sent from Amazon, it was shipped from Vortex Cable. I got the shipment in 2 days in spite of doing regular shipping. I bought their fire wire cables and have been pleasantly surprised with those as well.

When I was buying my computer, the retailer tried to sell me a USB cable for $24.99, I decided to wait and found this cable on amazon.com for $2.99 (including shipping), so I took a gamble and won. This is quality construction and has worked reliably for the 3 months I've been using it. I've already bought other cables from Cables to Go on Amazon at a huge savings for my new TV. It's such a savings, I don't see myself buying cables at a retail store again.

Needed a cable to hook up the printer and it does just that. No fuss, no worries. Might be a bit short for some situations, but if your printer is practically on top of you computer, you should have no problems with it's length.
